My good friend Joost Stokhof, a.k.a. the things we are resided in the Hortus Amsterdam for a week. During this week Sef & me passed by for one day to make music inside the glass house that Joost was staying in. Other musicians like Eefje de Visser, Nuno dos Santos, I Am Oak and Matteo Myderwyk also visited for one day and all songs that we made are now out on a 7″ vinyl which you can find inside the book with drawings by Joost / the things we are. A really unique piece of art, and the music is vinyl only, so get your copy HERE.
Soft Sofa Songs 01 - Red Light Radio
It’s Holiday season and I’m taking a break from playing concerts for some time, just to get some fresh air and energy for new music. And while on a break, why not listen to some nice soft and soulful music? Following my Soft Sofa Songs show on Grasnapolsky last February, I now invited Dean Tippet - source and composer of many musical pearls - to do a show on Red Light Radio, our first one! In the midst of releasing my EP with Nuno Dos Santos, this also happened:
A remix that I made for Rina Mushonga’s track Atalanta appeared online and streamable on all portals now! I like the original and I’m happy with the outcome of the remix too, hope you enjoy it!
The 2-track EP ‘China Queen’ by Nuno Dos Santos and me will come out this Friday on My Favorite Robot Records, but you can already listen to our track 'Saupaulo’ here! Or as Nuno says:
“We started this project spontaneously at the amazing Stekkerweek 2 years ago. We were fiddling around with all the machines at Sonar Traffic. Loads of people there and Ben from Cosmic Force joined in and even added some distorted 909. Now 2 years later we finally finished the track and made another one. Listen here to the premiere of saupaulo.”

Grasnapolsky once again proved to be such a nice festival with a great line up and lovely people, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Besides playing my live show on Saturday night, I did a short radio session for 3FM On Stage and I was lucky to find Eefje de Visser besides me to perform a rendition of our remix collaboration ‘Naartoe’. In this youtube playlist you’ll find all 3 songs that I played.
Besides playing my new live show at one of my fav fest’s Grasnapolsky again on February 11th, I’ll also be supporting Vitalic on his Dutch shows right after that. Would be great to see you at one of these shows!
