SOFIA - Today, 25 April, the Belgian men's team played its third match at the IIHF Worlds Division 2, Group B in Bulgaria's capital Sofia against opponent Chinese Taipei.
 
The Belgians had no trouble with their third opponent either. In the match against Chinese Taipei, Steyaert (#22/BEL) scored the first Belgian goal through Verelst (#17/BEL) in the 48th second of the match, surely a record time! In the third minute, Verelst (#17/BEL), assisted by De Croock (#8/BEL) and Piccart (#2/BEL), put the Belgians further ahead. When Gyesbreghs (#6/BEL) had to go to the sin bin for tripping, the opponent took full advantage of the powerplay, and Taipei managed to score a first count...

SOFIA - Today, April 23, the Belgian men's team played its second match at the IIHF World Championship Division 2, Group B in the Bulgarian capital Sofia. The opponent was hosting country Bulgaria.
 
The Belgians started their second match strongly. Barely a minute after the starting face-off, Blanchy (#23/BEL) scores Team Belgium's first goal. Espen (#4/BEL) delivers the assist. GHENT - In division 3, there is also a winner, Ghent Dragons. Nineteen! games won and only 1 lost with a goal difference of 157.

Top 3 players for Ghent Dragons this season were Jurceka Jan (90 points - 1st place overall), Loncke Enrico (73 points - 2nd place overall) and Jurceka Milan (65 points - 3rd place overall).
