Legal Counsel
Job Introduction
As our Legal Counsel you will bring your post qualified Commercial experience, In-house or Private Practice to our Dublin office.
Servicing over 100 accounts, you will provide a high quality legal service to Sodexo, Ireland. An autonomous role with great exposure, responsible for all the legal business, with the support of a UK team resource, dealing with all contract drafts and negotiations – a great scope of work.
Role Responsibility
Accountabilities:
- Providing effective legal and commercial advice on all areas of law as required by the Businesses and Functions supported
- Drafting and negotiating contracts to execution and providing post-execution contract support
- Assisting the Businesses regarding the assessment and management of risk
- Training the Businesses on legal, commercial and regulatory issues to raise and maintain levels of awareness
- Helping to ensure that business is conducted in accordance with relevant law and Sodexo’s internal governance processes
- Managing relationships with external lawyers including responsibility for instructions and managing external legal fees under appropriate supervision
- Working collaboratively with all members of the Legal team
- Complying with company policies
The Ideal Candidate
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in Ireland or equivalent jurisdiction
- Comprehensive post qualification experience of contract and commercial law and practice and other law and practice relevant to the Sodexo Ireland businesses. Some knowledge of public procurement law would be an advantage
- Strong skills in negotiation, drafting, legal analysis and problem resolution
- Broad knowledge and experience of working in relevant market sectors
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
